camping with your period and bears?

tomorrow im leaving to go to glacier national park, and im going with my brother and dad. Well right now im in the begining of a menstral cycle, and im nervous about it. Glacier is a park known for grizzley bears, i can use tampons and wear them at night also, but will bears be attracted to the sent, or will they not be able to smell it if it is inside me, because of the tampon use. Im really nervous and debating if i should go. HELP?

There is no evidence that a bear is attracted to the scent of a menstrual cycle. This is more myth than fact although it used to be a concern. Only thing is, i would dispose of used tampons somewhere that a bear will not discover them. Bears have a very high sense of smell and it could make them curious. Most important thing is you carry bear pepper spray with you at all times.
