Has anyone been to Mount Shasta and Lava Beds National Monument in CA? It’s close to the Oregon border.?

If anyone can please help me with a good place to stay, things to do. Thanks!!!

The Lava Beds is only a short distance from the boarder -When you near the turn off stop at the store and ask for detailed directions….you will know what store it is the only one around!!! I grew up in Klamath Falls Or and spent MANY MANY days at the caves.Some of the best in the US.Make sure you make sure to schedule time to walk the trail at Capt Jacks Stronghold.It is awesome!!! To walk where history has been made!!. As far as Shasta goes it depends on what you want to go for to determine if it its worth the trip.It would help tp know where you are coming from to help you with lodging and other fun stuff.For example Crater Lake is GREAT-for sight seeing or Xcountry skiing.There is a place called Mares Eggs Springs it is the only place other than Asia where the eggs”grow”
