Is this more of the change we were promised?

Jummah prayer
Capitol Hill
September 25, 2009

•The Athan will be chanted on Capitol Hill, echoing off of the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and other great edifices that surround Capitol Hill
•Thousands of Muslims from all races, creeds, colors and ethnicities will gather for the sole purpose of prayer
•Bonds of friendship will be formed between those in attendance, both Muslims and Non-Muslims
•Muslim youth will experience tours of the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court.
•The peace, beauty and solidarity of Islam will shine through America’s capitol.
A DAY OF ISLAMIC UNITY…

Yet our great imposter president found it unnecessary to have the never before missed yearly national day of prayer for christians.

Impeach Obama now before we all end up socialists guided by the Koran.

Islam on Capitol Hill has nothing to do with Obama. It’s an event planned by Muslim organizations that is selling sponsorships, and expects 50,000 people. It has Park Service permits. Apart from the obvious demographic and philosophical differences, it is no different than the 9-12 demonstrations on Capitol Hill.

The National Day of Prayer is actually for all faiths, it isn’t a completely Christian observance. It has bee proclaimed by Congress and signed by the President since 1952.

George W Bush was the only president who regularly had White House events for that day, and they were limited to Evangelical Christians. Obama didn’t eliminate the day (he did sign the proclamation), he didn’t revoke a long-standing tradition (that started and ended with GWB), he just didn’t have a White House event with Evangelicals who don’t like him anyway.
