Kibale forest national park is found in Uganda near the town of Fortportal in western part of Uganda. This is a park that is in the densely tropical forest of Africa in Uganda.This park is known for its concentration of a variety of monkeys and other apes. Some apes species in this park are habituated so that when you visit, you have to see them at close range guided by the park wardens. This park is not only for monkeys and other apes but it is a national park to many species of wild animals and birds. Let me take this opportunity to tell you that Kibale Forest National Park is a birding vacation paradise in Uganda.

This park is surrounded by small crater lakes which attract both native birds and migratory birds which come seasonally. It is also in this park that you can have a chance to see the Forest Elephant. These elephants are larger compared to the usual savanna elephants.Uganda is know for its habituation of Chimpanzees in Ngamba island in Lake Victoria but when you visit Kibale Forest National Park you will get a chance to see the apes in their wild habitat and no matter why many scientists camp in this forest for many months if not years.This park is proud to have the best safari lodge in the jungle and for that matter any one intending to have a honeymoon in jungle should think of Kibale Forest National Park in Uganda. But if you are a visitor to this park, you can also get your chance to share the exotic touch of this place.There are those days when the visitors to this park could overpower the accommodation facilities in and around the park and for that matter many accommodation facilities and hotels have been built in and around the park to cater for those who come in this national park.

This park acted as an eye opener to the native people near this place and to assure you the land in this palace is sold at an exorbitant price though the lace is in the remote village. Which means in the near future, this place will be the best place for visitor and travelers in Uganda and particularly Kibale forest National Park.Many foreign investors have managed to put up recreational centers near the park which acted as a source of income to the native.With the chance of Kibale Forest National Park attracting more tourists, birders and forest researchers, new hotels are being built in Fortportal town to cater for those who come to this national park. The shortage of accommodation which the visitors used to face some years ago is now gone.

Fortportal is a regional town where visitors who visit Semliki, National Park, Semliki Game Reserve, Queen Elizabeth National Park and a Kibale National Park meet. This town is situated some 20 kilometers from Kibale Forest National Park which means that if the safari lodges within the park are full, you can still stay in Fort portal town at still enjoy your visit to Kibale National Park to the fullest.

In conclusion therefore, visitors and travelers to Kibale Forest National Park shouldn’t worry about accommodation any more. As a free market economy, Uganda is free for every native and for that matter competition is high and that’s why they are competing to construct the best accommodation facilities to tap some of Uganda’s tourist resources.
