New England attractions, what’s worth it, and what’s not?

I am planning a trip the the New England part of the U.S.

Please tell me some attractions that are,”Must-see,” in this area.

NOTE:I’m already planning to go to Acadia National Park and Boston. I need some info on the good attractions in these places also.

I heard the Prudential Canter Skywalk, USS Constitution, Quincy Marketplace, Museum of Science, and Paul Revere House are good attractions in Boston. Are they some good one’s, and what should I add to this in Boston(staying for 2-3 days).

Also, I heard Cadillac Mountain is good in Acadia.

Please tell me all you can about the best places in New England!

The only thing that I would say is a must see is the Freedom Trail in Boston – that will include – Paul Revere house, Old North Church, USS Constitution, Old State House, Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market, Boston’s north end. If your 21, there is a pub crawl version;) http://www.thefreedomtrail.org/ Of course that assumes your into history.

Acadia is ok if your into the whole coast of Maine thing. The big deal about Acadia (actually Cadillac mountain) is being the first in the US to see the sun rise on the morning your there. That means getting to the top of the mountain some wicked early.

There are other things to see…..

Salem, MA (witch trial stuff, house of 7 gables)
Eat some Italian on Hanover Street.
Harvard College (takes an hourish to walk around campus and feel wicked smart)
Fenway Park tour (it is America’s most beloved ball park, the Red Sox tell us that all the time)
Take a lobster boat trip (I know you can do that in Kennebunkport).
Drive by Walkers Point (Bush family summer home in Kennebunkport) and either spit at it or salute it depending on your politics.
Take a Duck Tour in Boston.
Rockport, MA is kind of an eclectic little spot as is Boothbay Harbor, ME & Kennebunkport, ME & Portsmouth, NH.
Get a couple 3 Flos special hot dogs at Flo’s http://www.floshotdogs.com/ – then be sure to get some dogs at the dog house(name might be wrong) in Rockport.
Lobster Roll at Reds Eats, Wisscassett Maine.
LL Bean Factory store in Freeport, ME (open 24×7).
Vermont is pretty eclectic – pretty much the whole state with the possible exception of Rutland. Kind of like a real life Mayberry – from the black and white Ope and Andy days.
