Could you provide comments/suggestions for a camping tour of south-eastern Canada, PIE and New Foundland?

My friend proposed this 8 day itinerary for the two of us leaving from Portsmouth, NH, in August.
day 1 – Portsmouth to St. John, New Brunswick. Camp at Fundy National Park
day 2 – to Prince Edward Island by bridge. Camp at PEI national park.
day 3 – return from PEI by ferry and drive to Nova Scotia. Camp at Cape Breton national park.
day 4 – from Nova Scotia by ferry to New Foundland. Camp at Gross Morne national park.
day 5 – New Foundland to Nova Scotia by ferry, then to Gaspe
Peninsula. Camp at Gaspe Park.
day 6 – from Labrador to Quebec City.
day 7 – from Quebec City to Montreal
day 8 – from Montreal through Vermont to Portsmouth, New Hampshire

sounds like you have everything planned out
BUT
I think that you should go to less places and actually take time to see the places you do go; it looks like all you will doing is driving (a couple of hours in Montreal is not enough!)

make sure that you make reservations at camp grounds (some fill up months in advance)
