What do you think about visiting Yosemite National Park (CA) in late December?

Is it too cold? I am visiting from Colorado. Do you think I will be able to see trees and lakes ? or it is snowing?
Where can I find hotel near to the national park? Unfortunately, it seems that the accommodation inside the park already fully booked!!
Any advice?

The Tioga Pass Road from Lee Vining will be closed
Your best bet across the Sierra will be US 50 which passes thru South Lake Tahoe ,Placerville and Sacramento
If you’re feeling adventuresome you can take US 50 aka the loneliest road in America , from I-70 UT exit 56
I did that trip from AZ a couple of Christmases ago and I stayed in a town at the southern end of the Park called Oakhurst CA
The drive into Yosemite Valley from the south is stunning to say the least
