Yosemite Tioga Pass Accessible?

I’ll be entering Yosemite National Park around 18th/19th Oct. Would the eastern entrance, via Tioga Pass, still be accessible? Even if it’s accessible, would I need snow chains on my car? Would it be snowing in that area during that time?

Thanks !
This is for “Mo S” – how much is a snow china. Is there anywhere that I can rent it from? I’m on vacation in the US, and I prefer not to own such an item.

How do I put the snow chain onto the wheels? Which wheels? :)

You’ll be fine but always carry chains in the mountains Had to use chain in July once.
