Georgia, something to do?
looking for something fun to do with the kids in Georgia, no amusement parks, waterparks, or beaches. I would like to take them to a National Park or something outdoorsy. Any ideas?
There are a bunch of National Historic Sites in Georgia. I’ve been to the ones in Plains (Jimmy Carter’s home) and in Andersonville (Civil War prison). I don’t know if the kids would label them as “fun”, but they’re definitley educational!
Depending on what part of Georgia you are from, there are sites in SC, AL, NC, TN and FL too that may not be too far away.
Be sure to get a National Parks Passport ($5 or $6) when you’re there too – a great way for the kids to collect “souvenirs” from their travels!
