Things I should know for my next year trip to US?

Hi there guys!
Next year I’ll be in the Us in August. I’ll travel through California, Utah, Colorado, Arizona and Nex Mexico. I’ll be in the Death Valley, in the Monument Valley, in tons of National Parks in those States (Yosemite, Arches, Grand Canyon, Canyone de Chelly and many more) and I’ll visit many cities (San Francisco, LA, Las Vegas, Durango, Scottsdale, Albuquerque, Santa Fe and many more). Let me know you that I’m coming with a travel group, so not on my own.

So, have you got any advice for me? About Clothes? Shoes? Are there any velenous spiders??? I’m terrified about them….
Any suggestion about gifts?? I don’t want to buy those foolish tourist stuff….

Please, answer me. I want to make this one a great trip and I want to be very good prepared.

I’ll stay in the Us for 15 days (the trip should start about on 10th August).

Gosh!! I do hope I won’t “meet” any spiders.. I do fear them much more than rattlesnake!!

Sounds like you are going to have a once in a lifetime fantastic trip! How many days will you be in the states?

August will most likely be very, very hot. It gets up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit in Death Valley. Scottsdale, Las Vegas, Durango, Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Monument Valley will all be very hot too.

Yosemite, San Francisco, Colorado and Utah should all be comfortable. Maybe pack a light jacket to use at night.

As far a venomous spiders, Arizona and New Mexico do have poisonous spiders. You will also need to be careful of rattlesnakes. Not to worry, I’m sure your group will have someone with local knowledge to keep you safe.

As for gifts, all of the states you are going to have Indian tribes that offer really great inexpensive jewelry. Jewelry is small and light to pack. Each tribe has their own signature style, with different stones and types of workmanship.

You are going to see some amazing landscapes, so I would definitely recommend you have a digital camera with the ability to take many pictures. (extra memory cards, or a way to download pictures as you go)

Clothes: mostly for HOT weather
Shoes: sandals and tennis shoes
