State tax question: NY resident, worked in WY, no state tax showed up on WY W2?

I am a New York State resident (have my drivers license and bank account here), but in May of ‘08 I quit the job I had from Jan-May in NY and I moved to Wyoming to work at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming for the summer season. This was just a seasonal contract job, and in October I left the park, lived in Canada for a month, briefly visited NY, and then travelled the country, not holding any other jobs while doing so.
When I received my W2 from Yellowstone, there is no amount or information in any of the state tax boxes.
My first question would be, as a seasonal employee, do I need to file separate NY/WY partial resident state tax forms? Or was I still legally a resident of NY the entire time, and in that case, what should I do about the W2 from Yellowstone?
And, why didn’t any state tax show up on the Yellowstone W2? What does that mean and what should I do?

WY has no state tax. So you don’t need to worry about filing a separate state return aside from your usual NY state return.

Hope that helps. :0)
