national park key west
What do you recommend in Key West?
I’m putting together a corporate, team event to the Keys. We have 2 full days. One event is deep sea fishing, the other ????
I want the second day to be a ferry (Yankee Freedom II) to the Dry Tortugas National Park….but then that leaves no daytime hours for business meetings…..
Unless I make the fishing trip a half day…..hmmm, that’s a thought.
Any other suggestions?
There’s so much to do in Key West!
The Hemingway House
The Treasure of the Atocha, you can actually buy jewelry made from the treasure Mel Fisher and his group found.
Kino Sandals, you can watch the ladies make the leather sandals, and choose from a variety of styles (men, women & children), which you will not see duplicated anywhere else.
Sunset at Mallory Square, complete with street performers, very relaxed and casual.
The Little White House, on Truman
Fort Zachary Taylor, on Truman
Ride the Conch Train or take a pedi-cab.
Most of the evening activity is along Duval Street.
I suggest, you choose a 1 day activity for the entire group.
On the 2nd day, after a morning (perhaps, 8am to 1 or 2pm) of “hit it hard and get it done” business meeting, let everyone have the mid-afternoon and evening to explore the island on their own.
Enjoy a piece of Key Lime Pie, have fun and don’t forget your camera!!
