What are the greatest victory’s in the history environmental movement in the U.S.?
I am working on personal project regarding compiling the history of the environmental movement in the US. I want to make sure I haven’t left anything major out. In addition I would like to hear the opinions of my fellow environmentalists.
Establishing our national parks? eliminating DDT? establishing the EPA? the endangered species act? saving the bald eagle? reintroduction of wolves to Yellowstone? protecting the ozone layer? cleaning Lake Erie? reducing acid rain? List as many as you want but try to limit to your nominations to 5 or so. Give reasons if you can, e.g. helped biodiversity etc.
