Yellowstone trip during pregnancy is okay?

We live near San Francisco and planned a 4 day long trip to Yellowstone National Park with two other couple for the long weekend sometime back. The flight tickets, rental car, lodge booking is all done and ready.We have been TTC and two days back discovered I am pregnant! Doctor confirmed I am at 4 weeks now.

When I mentioned about the yellowstone trip to the doc she right away said not to go for it because the place is full of volcanic sulphur fumes which might be harmful at this early stage of pregnancy.

My baby is a higher priority than the trip of course, but I want to know whether anyone has been in this situation before and what did you decide to do?

my mom went to yellow stone while she was pregnant with me. she had a wonderful time and I’m a very healthy child.haha
