Is jasper in jasper national park or the other way around?

Im doing a project on jasper and all through out this project im so confused if jasper is in jasper national park or if jasper national Park is in jasper ?
can u please help me

Jasper is the main townsite within Jasper national Park just as Banff is the main townsite within Banff National Park and both these cities and National parks are in Alberta, Canada
