What career could I find asap that is good paying?
I turn 22 this month and I need a job asap.
I have two bachelor degrees in:
1) National Security
2) Law Enforcement
I have been trying to be a cop for four years now. It is one of the hardest jobs to obtain in NJ. For the past 4 years I have worked a seasonal officer. I still have not received one interview for a full time police officer job.
I’m going to still put in 100% efforts to becoming a police officer, but I need a good paying job asap. For the past 4 months I worked as a park ranger making $ 17.10 hour. The county ended up laying most of us off.
What job could I do with my qualification asap, making around the same salary?
Please help.
I have a family and can not relocate. I want to work in NJ.
I completed my degrees in Dec. 2007. I applied with the FBI. I would relocate for the govt jobs. I have the customs and border patrol test this month.
I check the state DOP website weekly for jobs and I’m always on USA Jobs… thank you all for the help so far.
If that is your education, go to USAJobs.com. This is a website for all the Federal Government jobs. You could apply to work with the FBI, U.S. Marshal Service, DEA, INS, Customs, Postal Police, etc. The only downfalls are, most will require you to move and it takes time to complete the process. Don’t forget to look at other State jobs through the State website. If you are for it, New Orleans is looking and the pay would start a higher than $17.10.
