ohh, and this would really help me if you had been there. i need to go there in a few days and i want to know if its worth going there; i am going to the battlefields.

Books, maps, slides, some facsimile uniforms.

Get familiar with the history before you go or you’ll be bored to death. You can go to the electric map show at the visitor center, and also sit through a short movie.

The battlefield is open space with monuments to the battalions. Highlights are Round Top and Devil’s Den. You can also listen to a tape or cd that narrates a tour by car.
