Advantages of ‘honey pot’ sites?

I am doing a school project for GEOGRAPHY, i need to know the BENEFITS of honey pot area’s in a national park (area’s which attract a lot of tourists)
So far I have that they can provide an income for the local businesses (souvenir shops)
