And Medicare? And the National Park Service? And the Center for Disease Control? And FDIC? And the FDA? And the Department of Transportation that keeps up our highways and bridges?
To hear the Republicans tell it, Obama is this huge socialist and McCain supposedly opposes socialism. Which means in theory that he should thus oppose all of the programs/departments listed above. America is a hybrid of capitalism and socialism, it has been since the Great Depression 80 years ago. Why do some people think the measly 3% tax increase that Obama proposes for the rich ($250K+) is suddenly bordering on communism?
