I am planning a trip to Shenandoah national park in the last weekend of october.?

Is it a good time for fall colors or too late? Suggest good eating places especially since I plan to stay in the park.

It is well worth the trip, just for the get away to peace and quiet.

Food is always tough to recommend unless someone really knows your favorites.

In an unknown area I always us AAA guide book for food with 2 stars or better, then i try to have a late lunch menu that way the price is less expensive and you get to experience the restaurant food & service.
