Am I breaking the law if I fly my kite too high ?
Ages ago I went for picnic with friends in National Trust park, and before leaving I saw a kite in the garage and my grand-dad’s old fishing gear. I took the kite and the fishing reel full of deep sea fishing line… and attached them……..
When at the park the kite went up really high…. took all of the fishing line up in the air. Then this big jumbo jet came across to the sky (something I hadn’t considered would happen) and I was genuinely worried for a few moments my kite was gonna get sucked in to engine.
Hehe thats quite funny suck ma.
Depends. Don’t, I repeat don’t do it near any airports. Pilots, especially students are extremely busy with many things such as navigation, communications with the control tower and other aircraft when taking off, landing and flying in the general vicinity of airports. They should not have to be worried about other things in the air. This holds true for model rocketry and radio control also.
If you’re far enough away from the above mentioned, I see no reason why you can’t enjoy yourself. Do be careful of power lines though.. Hove fun. You’re only young once.
