From Las Vegas to Grand Canyon National Park?
- Four of us are planning to go to Las Vegas and Grand Canyon National Park in April, we have booked the flight and hotel for Vegas. We also plan to go to Grand Canyon but we don’t want to drive, please help us for the following questions,
- We want to know if we should join the Grand Canyon tour after we arrive Vegas? Or we have to book online first? Or which one is cheaper?
- Where to join the Grand Canyon tour at Vegas?
- We will stay at MGM Grand Hotel, do they have Grand Canyon tour?
- Any idea on the price for the tour to Grand Canyon Southern Rim from Vegas?
- Any tips what to wear and bring with us to visit Grand Canyon?
Thanks a million for your time to read and reply the above:)
You could take an air/ground tour with Air Nevada. That’s what I did to see the Grand Canyon when I stayed in Las Vegas. Air Nevada will pick you up at your hotel in Las Vegas and take you to the airport to board the plane to the Grand Canyon. You’ll spend the day mostly on the Southern Rim of the Grand Canyon. Lunch is included in the price, which they had at the Bright Angel Lodge. You have enough opportunities to get off the bus and view and walk around the different viewpoints. I was able to get some great pictures, too. Then they return you back to Las Vegas by around 6:00 p.m. It was dark when my flight got back to Las Vegas, and the strip at night looked beautiful.
It seems that around $230.00 per person seems to be the most common price I’m seeing from the different air/ground tours of the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas. As for what to wear, it will be warm enough in April for shorts and t-shirts. Bring your sunglasses and wear plenty of sunscreen. Drink plenty of water or other fluids because it’s very dry at The Grand Canyon. Wear good, comfortable walking shoes.
