What does it take to be allowed in Lechuguilla Cave in New Mexio?

I’ve read about this cave online at WikiPedia and it looks absolutely amazing. Ittravels about 120 miles into the Earth and has some of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen before in it. The problem is that Wikipedia states “Access to the cave is limited to approved scientific researchers, survey and exploration teams, and National Park Service management-related trips”

Anyone ever been in this cave? Is it possible to have outsiders ever gain entrance?

Here is a link to the wiki site. Take a look if you haven’t already.

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. If it’s not possible to go to this cave, that’ll suck, but I guess I’ll just have to deal with it.

Thanks!

I would love to go there too, but as the article states “access to the cave is limited to approved scientific researchers, survey and exploration teams, and National Park Service management-related trips”, means you can’t go. My boyfriend went on some private guided tours of Carlsbad Caverns and got to see some of hidden caverns. I am so jealous of him.
