America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – Senior Pass?

The cost of the above pass is $10 per year as per website of the national park of the USA and must be purchased in person by a senior 62 age or older. Now for subsequent visits to the national parks within the dates of this pass, is it an absolute necessity that the senior has to accompany for the pass to be valid?

Yes, the holder of the card has to be present because they check ID when you present the pass. My mom has the card and I wish she had been with us a couple times when we went to Yosemite because it’s $20.

By the way, the senior pass is for life, there is no expiration date, except for the, uh, expiration of the card holder.
