is the area around Sydney royal national park safe?

Hey all,I’ll be staying at a house which is surrounded by the Royal National Park.My question is,are there any public transports there and is it generally a safe area?Thank you for your answer!

Bundeena has a ferry to Cronulla, where there is a railway station. I believe it to be a safe place.
