While most of the park roads are closed to cars, the road from the North Entrance to the Northeast Entrance (52 miles) is kept clear and open year-round, as well as the .5 mile stretch from Mammoth Hot Springs to the Upper Terraces Park area.

So the rest of the campgrounds would accommodate unpowered sites. Make sure to book ahead for your RV site if you are planning to park among Bridge Bay, Canyon Village, Fishing Bridge RV Park, Grant Village, and Madison Junction. All other campgrounds within Yellowstone National Park are available on a first come, first serve basis naming: Indian Creek, Lewis Lake, Mammoth, Norris, Pebble Creek, Slough Creek and Tower Fall.

Remember that Yellowstone prohibits overnight parking or camping anywhere, make sure to stay on campgrounds or designated RV parks. At times when campgrounds are full especially during the peak season, the park will offer a number of options. Yellowstone also observes camping limits to 14 days only during June 15th – Sept 15th.
